Apple iPhone 18 Pro Max 256GB - 6.9" Super Retina XDR, A20 Pro, 48MP Pro Fusion Camera, 5G

iPhone 18 Pro Max is Apple’s biggest Pro iPhone of 2026: a 6.9-inch ProMotion display, the new A20 Pro chip with vapour-chamber cooling and a 48MP Pro Fusion camera system whose main camera now has a variable aperture. This model comes with 256GB of storage and the longest battery life of any iPhone so far.

Main features

Camera

Variable aperture main camera

The 48MP Fusion Main camera switches between ƒ/1.48, ƒ/1.8, ƒ/2.8 and ƒ/4.0. It opens up for brighter, cleaner shots indoors and at night, or closes down to keep more of the scene in focus — automatically, or manually with the new Pro controls.

Zoom

Three 48MP cameras, 16x optical range

Ultra Wide at 13 mm for landscapes and macro, Main at 24/48 mm, and a tetraprism Telephoto at 100 mm (4x) that also delivers 8x optical-quality zoom at 200 mm. Every rear camera shoots at up to 48MP.

Video

Pro video in your pocket

Record 4K Dolby Vision at up to 120 fps, ProRes RAW and Apple Log 2 for colour grading, with genlock for multi-camera shoots. Add Cinematic mode effects after recording, clean up voices with Audio Mix and film with the front and rear cameras at once using Dual Capture.

Battery

The longest battery life on any iPhone

Up to 29 hours of typical use and up to 43 hours of video playback — 6 hours more than iPhone 17 Pro Max. With a 60W USB-C adapter it reaches 50% in about 15 minutes, and MagSafe / Qi2 wireless charging runs at up to 25W.

Performance

A20 Pro with vapour-chamber cooling

A 6-core CPU, a 7-core GPU with Neural Accelerators and a Dual 16-core Neural Engine make A20 Pro the fastest iPhone chip yet, built for demanding games and on-device AI. A larger vapour chamber keeps performance high during long sessions.

Design

Aluminium unibody, built to last

A forged aluminium unibody with Ceramic Shield 2 on the front and Ceramic Shield on the back, rated IP68 for water and dust (up to 6 m for 30 minutes). Available in Black, Silver, Glacier and Burgundy.

Controls

Camera Control and Action button

Camera Control opens the camera and adjusts exposure, depth, zoom and styles with a slide of your finger. The Action button can be set to silent mode, the torch, Visual Intelligence, Translate, a shortcut and more.

Front camera

18MP Center Stage front camera

A wider sensor lets you take landscape selfies while holding the phone upright and fits more people into group shots. On video calls, Center Stage keeps you in frame as you move.

Apple Intelligence

Smarter with iOS 27

Clean Up removes unwanted objects, Spatial Reframing lets you change the framing after the shot, and Writing Tools, Visual Intelligence and Call Context help with everyday tasks — with on-device processing that keeps your data private.
