This Privacy Policy explains how TrendNet Security Ltd ("TrendNet", "we", "us") collects, uses and protects your personal data when you visit trendnet.com.cy, buy from us, book an appointment, or contact us. We process personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Cyprus law.

TrendNet Security Ltd is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.
2. What data we collect
- Account data – name, email address, password (stored in hashed form), phone number, billing and delivery addresses.
- Order data – products purchased, order history, invoices and delivery details.
- Payment data – payments are processed by our payment service providers; we do not store full card numbers.
- Contact and appointment data – name, email, phone, company and the content of your message when you use our contact form, book an appointment or email us.
- Support and chat data – conversations you have with us through the website live chat.
- Website usage data – IP address, browser and device information, pages visited, and cookie identifiers (see our Cookie Policy).
3. Why we use your data and legal bases
- To perform a contract with you (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): processing orders, deliveries, returns, warranty service, customer accounts and appointments.
- To comply with legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR): invoicing, tax, accounting and consumer protection requirements.
- For our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): responding to enquiries, securing our website, preventing fraud and improving our products and services.
- With your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR): optional cookies and, where required, marketing communications. You may withdraw consent at any time.
4. Cookies
Our website uses essential cookies needed for the site to function (for example to keep your shopping cart and login session) and optional cookies which are only set if you accept them through the cookie banner. For details, see our Cookie Policy. Some static resources, such as web fonts, may be delivered through third-party servers, which may process your IP address in order to serve the files.
5. Who we share data with
We share personal data only where necessary with: delivery and courier companies; payment service providers; IT and hosting providers that operate our website and business software; professional advisers; and public authorities where we are legally required to do so. We do not sell your personal data.
6. International transfers
We aim to store personal data within the European Economic Area (EEA). Where a service provider processes data outside the EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
7. How long we keep your data
- Account data – for as long as your account exists, and up to 12 months after you ask us to delete it, unless we must keep records longer by law.
- Orders, invoices and accounting records – at least six (6) years, as required by Cyprus tax and accounting legislation.
- Enquiries, appointments and chat conversations – for as long as needed to handle your request and up to 24 months thereafter.
8. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to: access your personal data; have inaccurate data corrected; request erasure; restrict or object to processing; receive your data in a portable format; and withdraw any consent you have given. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority in Cyprus: the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection (www.dataprotection.gov.cy).
9. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls and regular software updates. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access.
10. Children
Our website and products are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version will always be available on this page with the date of the latest update.
